Service structure
The service structure of the South Savo Wellbeing Services County is divided into five sectors. These include health services, services for the elderly, social services, emergency and security services, and corporate services, which cut through the rest of the organisation.
The sectors are divided into service areas, which in turn are divided into result areas, result unit groups and cost centres.

The administration, finances and other activities of the wellbeing services county are managed by a chief executive under the command of the county executive. The chief executive is also responsible for preparing matters for consideration by the county executive. Sector managers are responsible for managing the operations as well as the activities and finances of their sector. The managers and directors of service areas and the supervisors of result areas manage the operations of their personal area of responsibility and they are in charge of the corresponding operations and finances under the supervision of the sector manager.
Overall financial and production responsibility lies with the chief executive of the wellbeing services county, sector managers and other supervisors, unless responsibility has been delegated to another authority based on the administrative regulations. The chief executive of the wellbeing services county and sector managers are accountable. The county council appoints other accountable persons in accordance with section 8 of the administrative regulations.
