OmaEloisa – Digital service platform
OmaEloisa is a digital service platform that provides access to Eloisa’s services regardless of your location.
You can use OmaEloisa either through a web browser on your computer or by downloading the OmaEloisa mobile app to your phone or tablet. We recommend using the mobile app.
With OmaEloisa, you can:
- Use the chat service to talk with a professional in real time.
- Send contact requests.
- Attend video appointments with Eloisa professionals.
- Book health service appointments electronically.
- Fill out health-related questionnaires and forms.
- Use guided digital service paths.
- View your personal health information, such as appointments and visit records.
Omaolo
Omaolo.fi is an electronic service channel for social welfare and health care whose purpose is to assess a resident’s need for care and the urgency of the matter in the following situations:
• assessment of an individual health problem or several symptoms
• assessment of health and well-being
• assessment of an illness or its risks
and guiding the resident to receive treatment in services promoting health and well-being within Omaolo and in social and health services external to Omaolo.
The contents of the Omaolo service are based on medical information and research, validated questions and, with regard to social welfare, criteria laid down in legislation on the right to social services. The personalised instructions in symptom assessments are based on the Decision Support engine with its accessories, produced by Duodecim Publishing Company Ltd. The service analyses the user’s answers and uses the available information to make the feedback as personal as possible. Combined with electronic appointment booking, the user can be offered digital service chains. The aim is to guide the user to an appropriate service as easily as possible.
Omaolo is intended for residents over the age of 15. Some of the health and well-being assessments are intended for those under the age of 15. Omaolo is used by health care and social welfare professionals when they take part in the treatment of a resident who uses Omaolo, and to promote health and well-being. Omaolo is not intended for use in life-threatening situations.

Background and legislation
Nurses give health advice, wound care and vaccinations and remove stitches, etc. If necessary, the nurse can refer the patient to a doctor.
Non-urgent treatment must be provided within a set period. During business hours, patients must be able to contact a health and social services centre immediately by telephone or visiting the centre. Calls are returned without delay, usually on the same day.
The need for treatment may be initially assessed on the phone. The necessary treatment must be organised within a reasonable delay, which means no more than six months. However, people under the age of 23 must receive treatment within 14 days at the latest.
