Customer assistance and service coordination for the elderly is a free service intended for the elderly and their relatives. The goal of the service is to provide support to the elderly living independently and to find solutions to ensure that they can enjoy a smooth everyday life.
Customer assistance and service coordination for the elderly offers advice and guidance on services for the elderly provided by the wellbeing services county, private service providers, third sector, volunteers, and the church.
The service coordinator will create an individual service plan together with each client, setting out the services that best match the client’s life situation. If necessary, the service coordinator will make a service needs assessment of the client’s situation based on a home visit.

OmaEloisa is a digital service platform that provides access to Eloisa’s services regardless of your location.
You can use OmaEloisa either through a web browser on your computer or by downloading the OmaEloisa mobile app to your phone or tablet. We recommend using the mobile app.

- Attend video appointments with Eloisa professionals.

Omatori multipurpose centre
Omatori offers comprehensive support and advise on finding the services that best suit your needs. Omatori is a meeting place where clients have easy access to professionals and volunteers from different fields.
Omatori offers services and activities in cooperation with public, private and third sector operators. Omatori’s services are offered by the following service providers:

- Mikkeli Omaishoitajat ja Läheiset ry
- Mikkeli Evangelical Lutheran cathedral parish
- masseuse Hannu Tarkiainen
- Elämäsi kunnossa terveyspalvelut Oy

Also, the centre organises theme days and events in cooperation with an even wider range of partners.
Our services are particularly focused on serving the elderly, disabled people and informal care families of all ages, as well as the family members of the above, but everyone is welcome to try out our well-being services, for example, or participate in our volunteer activities!

At the Pieksämäki social and health centre, clients can access appointment and hospital services, services for families and services for the elderly.

Background and legislation
Elderly people are offered guidance and counselling in the use of health care and social welfare services. The counsellors explain what services are available for elderly people at home and what services can be obtained outside the home. They provide guidance in applying for services and explain what the preconditions are for accessing them. If necessary, counselling on how one can apply for and combine different forms of financial support is also available.
Elderly people can receive counselling e.g. by phone or by visiting a service point. The service counsellors are permitted to make service-related decisions.
